WHY I
AM RUNNING
SCHOOL BOARD DISTRICT 4

As I'm called to give back to our community, I cannot think of a better place than serving on the school board. My professional background as a CPA (certified public accountant) since 1998, working almost exclusively with construction companies for 18 years of my career, earning my CCIFP (certified construction industry financial professional); along with my training as a CFE (certified fraud examiner), makes me well suited to shepherd our schools through referendum spending and related financial issues. In 2018, I left public accounting to serve as CFO for Safety Management Group, a 200+ employee safety consulting company based in Indianapolis. I was humbled to have been named IBJ's 2021 CFO of the Year, earning the Top Honoree for private companies under $100M.
I previously served the greater Westfield community as the treasurer of WYSI from January 2013 to January 2018, helping expand programs and build a capital reserve for infrastructure needs. I've continued my involvement as an advisor to the board and advocate for youth sports in Westfield.
If elected to serve again, my efforts as a board member will focus on:
-
Protect the assets which make our schools great: qualified teachers and staff
-
Protect our kids
-
Proactively manage spending and be a steward of referendum funds
